For comfort and build quality, B&W (px7 s2, s3) - they also have much better sound than Sony Bose etc. Pure sound quality? Sennheiser probably, as it's more neutral/accurate. Some people still prefer the sound on the b&ws

I had the APMs and I sold them for the px7 s3 and they definitely sound much much better! The ANC and transparency(although I never use this) is way better on the APMs but sound and comfort would definitely be the b&w I’d assume the px8 s2 is better than px7 s3 so if you don’t care as much about ANC

I purchased both (+ the Px8 S2). You can’t go wrong with either as everything is subjective. For me, I realized comfort was #1, followed by ANC tied with sound. The most comfortable headphones hands down are the Bose QC2. I placed Px7 S3 and Px8 S2 over pillows for a few nights and it greatly helped

Ja, the Px8 (OG) does have larger cups and wear profile, though I'm not sure if it contributed much to easing clamp pressure — they were clampy out of the box.
