Assuming you're talking about the Gen 1: Make sure you update the firmware in the app. I had similar issues with the power button, until a firmware update that "improved the power-on experience" or something to that effect. Yes the regular QC's slider switch is still more intuitive, abut the update

How bad is the ANC on the Momentum 4?
There isn't much of a difference with the XM4 in terms of ANC. But in terms of durability, sound quality, and battery life? Defo go with the Sennheiser. Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 for when I’m going out, amazing noise canceling that doesn’t make me feel dizzy and super comfortable, Sennheiser Momentum 4 for staying at home or on super low noise environments, noise canceling isn’t as good but they’re comfortable to wear and have good sound quality. :) Both

ANC Headphone advice (JBL vs Bose)
Can't comment on JBL but I own both Airpods Pro 2 and the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra (not the 2nd gen, though I feel like they're quite similar) and I love them both!
