Boox hardware is being seriously let down by the software. I have 3 premium Boox devices and can no longer give them the benefit of the doubt anymore (Tab X, Note Max, Air 4C). My Note Max felt abadoned within 4 months of release. Software is also non-inutitive and really not enjoyable to use.

Boox fanboys/company employees are a strange bunch. The company is absolutely dodgy shipping untested hardware at launch e.g 5AC and then abandoning it until they release a new iteration the following year. There is no long term support. Boox Note Max a year after launch still has major ghosting and

We'd like to be able to disable pinch to zoom in the Boox Notes app. Otherwise it starts zooming randomly while we write notes. You removed the button that disables pinch to zoom. Why? Please bring the button back. I returned my Boox Note Max because of that. I do like the fast mode in v. 4.1 and af

Valid point, and I agree with you - that’s actually acceptable. Maybe I did put too much emphasis on the stylus part. The real issue, though, is cloud calendar synchronization. That’s where the main problem lies. What makes the current Calendar app useless is that most of us (if not all) already rel

People say stuff like that here, about being forced to update devices and all, but lots of us are running devices that are long out of the update cycle, while running 4.1 just fine. And that 4.1 is way better than the 3.1 we had at purchase. That's pretty much the opposite of the populist claim. Now

I returned the Boox Note Max because of this and other bugs like no option to disable pinch to zoom in the notes app in 4.1.1. The new Speed mode is very good though, it is very fast and clear with almost no ghosting.

I’m having the same issues with my new Boox Note Max, and I’m seriously considering returning it. Writing in the Notes app feels unstable. Palm rejection isn’t reliable, and it keeps zooming accidentally while I’m trying to write. Erasing is extremely laggy in the Notes app. If I use a stylus with a

I highly agree. It makes the device basically unusable. I bought it for my studies, specifically math and use infinite notes so i can continue with an equasion, and for that i need to scroll. However when scrollign is enabled, there is literally NO option to lock or disable zoom and its honestly an

If you're just reading books, I would get a Kobo. You'll get the actual month long battery life that you expect from eink (I get a solid week of battery on my Go 7 B/W, definitely feel I got more on my Note Air 3 B/W which could almost do 2 weeks but I do tend to charge when I'm down to like 30% bat

I tried .svg export to .note. It worked for one file (https://openclipart.org/detail/355294/how-to-make-a-paper-fortune-teller), but maybe you could note in the documentation the Boox Note page size dimensions as when I picked a random image from Open clipart, it was too large to fit on the page.
