This. I've tried a Onyx / Boox which is similar in the sense that it's not subsidised by taking a big cut of book sales. It was expensive, clunky, and had crap build quality in comparison to my Kindles. Not fun to use, even though I liked the form factor and features.

I have no interest in software support or a faster device. I have a computer. And doubling is hyperbole, not a price target. The point is that the fewer caveats that I have to add when recommending an Onyx Boox device to someone, the fewer issues I have to warn people about, the more the price can r
