Any tips for Textbooks and Scientific Papers?

Honestly, this is probably not the device for image-heavy PDF files, in my opinion. You may be better served with a larger e-ink device. I have used some of the larger color e-ink devices from Onyx Boox for this purpose. They are not cheap, but provide a much nicer experience.

I decided I wanted a new eBook reader for reading .pdf files. I wanted it to be high-quality, with a fast refresh rate, a color display, the ability to use a stylus for note-taking and a large screen. After a long search I finally have mine it’s the Boox Note Air 5C. It works great with pdf files

To be honest, the battery life of the Boox Note Air 5C is not great but I found that reading books in a dark room with the brightness set to 10 is fine and it saves a lot of battery. For reading in a well-lit room you can turn off the brightness completely, which saves even more battery.

Palma Pro 2 Screen Is Too Dim (Should I Buy ViWoods Instead?)

I went through this myself. I ponied up for a boox note air 5c (my first color eink tablet since a kindle 10 years ago). My use case was to use it as a portable screen for my keyboard. I have an iPad Pro so the comparisons were inevitable—and the boox screen was dim, grainy and slow. At the end of t

Physicist choosing a BOOX device for daily research workflow (Obsidian + Zotero) — which model actually holds up?

The Go 10.3 is probably your best bet. The Note Air 5C is a little faster and more powerful, but it is color and the battery life is poor. You do not need a larger device for your kind of work, and the larger devices are less portable (although they are faster). The writing latency on all Boox (and

Comparing Boox Go 10.3 Gen 1 and Gen 2 Lumi

Since you use it with and article on one sude and notes on the other (split screen) do you feel like its too small of a device to do this comfortably? This is my main issue preventing me from buying the Note air5C over the Boox tabXC (I havent purchased either yet). But, the Boox Tab XC is running a

She's here! For good!

onyx boox note air 3 color! I totally agree with the slippery, it also requires more accurate/harder tapping on on screen buttons, especially when selecting the erasor/lasso. But that's hour 1 of usage :)

Honest opinion about Boox Air 5C

Okay, so I ordered a Boox Note Air 5C. This post's comments and the other posts I read as a result of an increased interest are the reason. So, I just had to come back to this post to say something.... people saying the Boox is better are absolutely nuts. The Scribe Colorsoft is far and away better

Best e-ink tablet for heavy book PDF reading in a PhD?

Very similar situation as you. My decision came down to how much I needed a front light and how much I needed longevity in the OS. I landed on the Boox Note Air 5C after borrowing a Boox Go 10.3, but the darkness of the screen is depressing (I thought others were being dramatic). In daytime ambient

To those of you who have 2 e-readers, why do you keep both and what do you use each one for?

I bought Boox Note Air 5C and returned it as I my experience with Kindle App was very poor resolution and poor color ( I understand it's saturated color - still very bad the photos and alphabets were not sharp at all). How do you feel reading kindle books on Boox pads.?
