I agree with your experience, thought u can never really compare wired with wireless headphones. For example, my Dt 990 Pro x probably sounds as good as my Px8 s2 at half the price.

Blatant Cheater
I use a DAC/AMP combo (Topping DX5 II) with Bayerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250ohm headphones. It has a parametric equalizer that allows me to drown out the sounds of score streaks and my own gunfire by setting a low pass filter. Meaning low bass noise is dulled.
