Their treble response is like nails on a chalkboard. The DT900 Pro X's sound better (but still flawed) for cheaper.

I am no audiophile but my beyerdynamic dt 900 pro x headphones sound great (to me) and are very comfortable. I use them for work calls, music and gaming. I think they are in your budget and worth a look.

Check out Hifiman brand as well. More bass than similar priced Sennheiser/Beyerdynamic, could be to your liking. Ive got Beyerdynamic DT 900 pro X and they are comfy, good value for money soundwise.
