Tarkov has weird interactions with some headphones. Went from my Astro A50s which I had to keep the game at 30% volume or it would give me a headache to switching to DT 770 Pro Xs and now I have to use an amplifier plus an equalizer to hear anywhere near to what I had before.

You really use your DT 770 pro X out of the box to listen to music?? Or do you EQ? I couldn’t use mine without EQ so returned them.

If you have studio monitors? Tbh…. I prefer my ATH-m50x over my 660s & dt770. Dt770 also had the misfortune of worsening tinnitus from the harsh high end.

Kz edxs got me started into iems. I never wanted to try them because I remember earbuds hurting my ears when I was a kid. Then some $7 iems sounded better than my dt770 Pros. I think it was more about them being iems versus closed headphones used for music and gaming. Anyway now I have some kz am16

Check my comment history! Someone had the exact issue as you! It very well could be your headphones. Same as mine. I had dt770 pros for years, then dt880 for a bit. I could never figure out why I hated all my guitar tones solo’d. It was okay when I was mixing because I could make it fit. Anyway, I c

Mine arrived a week ago and man, let me tell you, you will not regret it. I have DT770 80 Ohm I use for guitar monitoring but I don't really enjoy listening to music using them. Up until recently I had DT990 250 ohm for that, but those being open backs means they can be only properly used in quiet e

Among close back ones Sony mdr 7506 and ath 50x are flatter. I heard a lot of good stuff about slate vsx as well - I would personally prefer them plus correction if I have to go with close back headphones. I don’t know who recommend dt 770 pro as flat, you can check their frequency response here for

True. Sharp treble is painful for my ears too. There is no definitive best. Only what is best for your ears. I like warm tuning. Treble is just harsh and piercing in some, which is unbearable to me. Letshuoer S08, currently am using is pretty good. Warm and still details preserved. When I bought DT

You should go with the 32ohm, that way you can drive it from any aux port. Based on measurements I have seen, the DT 770 32 ohm does not sound the same as the 80 and 250 ohm. It has extra bass emphasis and a worse treble spike that can make them sound harsh. https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/head
