Just found this sub, what Bluetooth speaker are you using right now and would you actually buy it again?

B&W Zeppelin, bought 2021 (ish). It’s amazing. I know it’s not cheap but it surpassed my expectations. It’s our main living room music system/speaker. For travelling, we have a Sonos Roam. It’s louder and better than I thought it would be too. Excellent for taking to AirBnBs for example.

What’s the brand of your speaker(s) and are you demanding about the quality of sound?

B&W gear is legendary, those Zeppelin speakers are iconic for a reason! And totally agree on the M40x/M50x leap—it’s like seeing in color for the first time. Once you can actually pick out footsteps in games or hear the layering in a track, there’s just no going back to 'basic' audio.

Beolit 20 first impression

It’s been a whirlwind tour of wireless speakers recently. In the end, I was really missing the B&O Level, so I bought another one! As far as the others, here is a brief summary of my experiences: Dali Katch G2 - was too small and bass shy for my tastes. It sounded nice but I need more body to the mu

What is an example of fairly old tech being as good as or better than a newer model or piece of tech?

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin speaker, originally released in 2006. The quality of sound is still mind blowing. Lots of friends have newer bluetooth speakers and none of them come close to the zeppelin. Plus it looks like a piece of art

I agree when you hear the difference between a nice sound and a cheap one… you can’t go back from it. Personally I have an old B&W Zeppelin in my living room and B&W MM-1 for my desk… both are amazing! I do love the sound from them

Speaker dock recs?

Maybe the iPod Hifi or the B&W Zeppelin? Way back when I had an Altec Lansing dock that sounded killer, so possibly something AL if you come across it.
