Yes, it's absolutely worth it. No, it won't fall off. PLA fails after long-term strain in any application. Use PETG. Yes, it's just as easy as it is with the stand. Would strongly suggest this model. Have done thousands of hours of prints with mine like this, no issues whatsoever.
