TLDR: A component called a NTC thermistor on the AC board can overheat and catch fire. In some cases it melts through the bottom of the A1. 3D Musketeers have collected 70 reports of this problem. BambuLab remains silent on the issue. If you run a A1 please place it on a non-flammable surface.

u/bambulab — please address this ongoing fire hazard with A1 printer. These melting / overheating posts are now coming near daily. Existing A1 owners are owed an explanation. u/mobius1ace5 — here’s yet another one To anyone not aware of this ongoing hazard, please search ‘A1 fire’ in this subreddit

Yes, this could've caused a fire, BUT I have yet to see a fire being caused by a bambulab printer (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong). That said, never turn this back on again and contact support. Edit: I keep getting replies on this with people apparently not understanding what 'fire' means. Like some

Don’t even talk to them about repairing it, demand a replacement printer or your money back. Include the pictures you posted here if you haven’t already. Explain exactly what happened since you unboxed it, and that it’s a brand new printer that’s a fire hazard/defective and unusable. Where exactly d

Added to this and other comments I tried the bbl to u1 converter and it didn't work for most 3mf files. That's why I, too, resorted to opening snapmaker Orca, import the 3mf file (very important!!! Don't open it, import the object!!! Bambulab 3mf are not compatible with the u1 and may even crash the

It looks like you need to dry it more. https://bambulab.com/en-us/filament/tpu-for-ams says 80-90 for 12hrs on an X1 bed so I’m not sure how to translate that for an A1 bed since A1 isn’t enclosed.

How old? The factory heater block is trash and falls apart over time. Does the nozzle flex? Pull the nozzle off and the heater block off, check if the carbon fiber is falling apart. If it is, the pressure sensor for bed leveling is going to be wack because the nozzle is flexing. https://wiki.bambula

I have the A1 model, so these are my measurements. On the Pla print, the fan speed is usually around 70%, and the part fan unit is the loudest . It makes an annoying noise. The Bambulab A1 Mini is the same. The printer itself is quiet, but that fan is terrible…
