A1 melting safety risk

TLDR: A component called a NTC thermistor on the AC board can overheat and catch fire. In some cases it melts through the bottom of the A1. 3D Musketeers have collected 70 reports of this problem. BambuLab remains silent on the issue. If you run a A1 please place it on a non-flammable surface.

Edit: I keep getting replies on this with people apparently not understanding what 'fire' means. Like some

Explain exactly what happened since you unboxed it, and that it’s a brand new printer that’s a fire hazard/defective and unusable. Where exactly d

As one in the same situation I've boiled it down to the following basic list; BAMBU LABS Good reliable machines, with a lot of bells and whistles, but still for highly affordable price. The bambu handy app allows one to start prints from one's phone which is surprisingly convenient. On the other han

What is a hobby that is just way too expensive to get into right now?

3d printing is fairly cheap. I have a cheap bambulab a1 mini that is reliable and fast enough. Filament prices are cheap enough and I only print one color at a time. Never more than 3 spools of filament. Right now I have 2 spools, and one of them was a one off that I don't intend to use anymore due
