TLDR: A component called a NTC thermistor on the AC board can overheat and catch fire. In some cases it melts through the bottom of the A1. 3D Musketeers have collected 70 reports of this problem. BambuLab remains silent on the issue. If you run a A1 please place it on a non-flammable surface.

Yes, this could've caused a fire, BUT I have yet to see a fire being caused by a bambulab printer (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong). That said, never turn this back on again and contact support. Just to clarify, Bambulab is the brand, and they already had the X1C out at the time, but it was much more expensive. I can't remember if it was the P1S or the A1 that released, but both appear to just be straight up better than the Ankermake M5. Not to mention the A1 seemed to have a much lower MSR
