Those that use their devices docked, what speakers do you use?

Mine are kind of overkill, but I use AudioEngine HD6’s sitting on top of the silicone stands that they also sell. They’re really bookshelf speakers rather than actual desk monitors, so they’re pretty oversized, but they do sound awesome. I also have it paired to an Emotiva SE8, which is an 8” subwoo

Double DAC?

Yes, use optical, the speakers have built in amp and DAC, and likely EQ to optimize the configuration. This is right from their website... Improve your home theater sound with the HD6 by using Bluetooth or optical input. This approach bypasses inferior audio components in your source device, enablin

Please recommend me monitors or active speakers

Why not keep your 305s for your computer, and get a receiver and good passive speakers to hook up to your TV, and you can also use for music? Audioengine makes great powered speakers. I have the A5+ and I love them. They have the HD6 as well. Add in their S8 subwoofer and you're golden (btw, since y

Decent cheap small full range speakers?

The little PAM8406 class AB amp module I got off aliexpress runs my Audioengine HD6 bookshelf speakers really well... They say it's only 5W but it doesn't even get toasty running those loud enough to hear from the street. 5W is more than you think. If you want small and portable I recommend it - you

Upgraded office setup

Always room to upgrade. But went to these from a sub 100 dollar Amazon Panasonic system. So it's night and day difference. I have a set of Audioengine HD6 in my living room setup, may consider HD3s down the road for office. (I'll also note it was a gift from the wife, so had little say in the purcha

Razer clio and leviathan v2

Sorry you haven’t had any luck. I like mine. No issues with a Leviathan v2 Pro or when I switched to an AudioEngine HD6 speaker with subwoofer. I don’t use it all the time, but gaming has been zero issues.

HiFi speaker / audiophile store?

Until two months ago I had Audioengine HD6 speakers which I thought were good, but for only a few hundred dollars more the ELAC and WiiM combo blows them away. I'm officially converted to passive speakers so then you're able to swap the amp and DAC portions out.

Active speakers for a simple living room setup at around 1500$

This won't be the most popular option, but Audioengine makes very good active speakers. The HD6 speakers sound amazing, have all the connections you need, and have great high quality Bluetooth. You'll most likely need a subwoofer. The S8 is okay, but the RSL Speedwoofer 10e is generally considered b

Compact 2.0 solution - help!

with only 190mm depth, you're kinda limited but there are options. the kef lsx ii lt speakers are 155mm deep and can be placed horizontally. the audioengine hd6 is 178mm and also works sideways. i'd avoid the iloud micro monitors since they need vertical orientation. what helped me before was checki

PC Setup to Replace Ancient Klipsch 2.1

There's a few ways you can go. First you need to decide if you want active or passive speakers. Personally, I think active speakers are ideal for desktop setups. It just makes life easier, and there are some really good ones out there. Next you need to decide if you want new or used. You're generall
