Advice / Guidance on Headphones for mixing
I used audio technica r70x for 3 years (with sonarworks) and now I use an Audeze MM-500, which is an amazing piece of gear. My studio is equipped with focal SM9 and a trinnov for correction, but I still prefer using the headphones most of the time

HD600 to HD800 - good upgrade or something else?
HD800 is a vastly different headphone from HD600. It also won’t fix your problem with bass extension as HD800 bass is also its biggest weakness. What you will get from HD800 is an extremely wide presentation with much brighter treble. It will make everything sound wide, even when u might not want it

I feel that the higher price range you go, the bigger the differences will be - both good and bad.
