Honest Review of MacBook Neo

I have a zenbook 14 oled. Great build quality, great 90 hz screen with DCI P3, decent performance for daily creative tasks, 16 gig ram and upgradable storage, full ports. All while still being in the same price as the Neo. Plot twist: It turns on in my backpack to update and runs the battery. I unpl

Intel Just Killed the Budget GPU! Panther Lake iGPU Gaming

The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED with a LNL chip literally gets 15h instead of 10h according to the same page. These are devices that aren't even using the new PTL chip. As you can see, the G14 is a pretty bad deal because other devices that cost the same will have even better battery life than the Zenbook

Here’s what I’ll say to those posting $400–500 Windows laptops with 16/512GB and shouting that it’s a better deal…

I have an Asus Zenbook 14 OLED which I bought for about 650-700 eur back in the days. 16/512 gigs, 6 core Ryzen 5 and a beautiful 2.8K calibrated certified OLED screen, backlit keyboard and alu body. I bought to edit photos on the go with Lightroom and to DJ using a controller. Better than Neo on pa

Asus ZenBook 14 OLED

I had this one before had to take it back, its a powerful CPU but it got way too hot(it has one fan) which made the battery life suck. I personally cant stand premium laptops with 60Hz displays either.

Do I need to prioritise GPU as a CSE student?

I have an ASUS Zenbook S14 (UX5406) with Core Ultra 7 258V 32GB+1TB variant. It also has OLED display but a 3K Touchscreen one. And let me tell you, it CAN game. Now, here's the distinction though, my 258V is more geared towards iGPU, efficiency and single core performance compared to the 255H. But,

Why is OLED accepted/fine with consumer-mid/high-end laptops, but not for Thinkpads?

PWM and flicker in general might be a lesser factor, after power consumption and more burn (from static desktops). Although maybe it's wishful thinking that any corps care about the small minority who are stuck with appalling sensitivity issues. I tried an Asus Zenbook 14 UX3405 which gave headaches

Intel deserves all the hate for their horrible battery life

My 1 and a half year old ZenBook 14 OLED running the Meteor Lake Core Ultra 7 155H can barely last 5 hours on normal internet browsing, with YouTube watching, on Best Battery Efficiency mode. Even by turning on Whisper Mode in MyASUS, it does not go beyond that unlike when I first got it in mid-2024
