Nice first look with Digital Foundry. Always believed Lunar Lake was a sidegrade to the HX370/Z2E (890M), but this seems like a real upgrade. (Also didn't realize Intel themselves were the ones giving the power measurement tool to media outlets, very cool). Important to note, these tests are done at

Gaming laptops are a safer bet because alot of 3D modelling software heavily prefers discrete graphics, aka the graphics card + I'm no arki student, but got friends who are not just in Benilde. Depending on what programs you use, not everything is available in Mac (and they are harder to crack, if y

TLDR; Minimalize (is that a word?), sell desktop, keep laptop, finish up school, and then go back to what you are most comfortable with afterwards! Bro the 4070 mobile GPU is more than capable at handling any type of gaming at high graphics 60+ fps (and 60 is putting it low, you definitely can run m

OP, just want to make another suggestion, I live in a small apartment too for part of the year and my primary gaming device is a 14" laptop. Would a compact gaming laptop not make more sense than a handheld? They can get expensive in a 14" form factor, but something like last years Asus TUF A14 (AMD

You can get Strix Halo laptops, all AMD. The GPU is comparable to a 3060, but with variable and higher VRAM. Here's a list https://www.ultrabookreview.com/70442-amd-strix-halo-laptops/ Currently there’s the ASUS Flow Z13 available, I have one. The TUF A14 (https://www.asus.com/laptops/for-gaming/tuf

I like recommending 14-inch Windows laptops with a weak dedicated GPU, a low resolution screen, and a large battery. This usually gives you something which will stably run SOLIDWORKS, but won't be a PITA to keep plugged in for classwork (or for long hours in the library). Right now, it seems the kin

What kind of performance are you looking for? I have an Xbox Ally X in addition to the Z13 and have no trouble running games like Fortnite at 120 FPS and CoD Black Ops 7 at 110+ FPS on it at 1080P. Could get more frames out of the latter but have it set to a more balanced combination of graphics and

For a small form factor gaming laptop with good battery life for non gaming use look at the 2025 RTX 5060 Asus Tuf A14. Should give 8-10 hours regular use with the Nvidia GPU off and still be able to play most AAA games at medium to high settings. Take a look at some YouTube reviews.

Smaller laptops will have less cooling. That's the tradeoff you have to decide on for yourself. If gaming is your priority, a larger laptop with more robust cooling will last longer and will perform better than the same specs in a smaller laptop, because your components will throttle down to avoid o

Man, it doesn't work like that. What kind of performance do you need? Gpu or cpu intensive? Only gaming or multitasking? At what price range? Mac or windows? What size? What do you need it for? If you only need performance at a good price get a pc instead. Just an example, i have an asus tuf A14 whi
