Cheaper Astro headset quality has gone down, however if you purchase A50’s they’re still high quality good headphones. But I do not recommend A30 or below for gaming.

I've made some tests, and I can confirm the mic volume decreases every time you connect the headset by Bluetooth to a device and play audio on that device.
