Ultra 3 v Fenix 8

I recently made the switch from the AWU2 to the Fenix 8 because I mainly used my watch for sports and health—essentially the same priorities you have. I have to say, I am completely satisfied with the change. The Garmin gives you much more insight into your health, recovery, Body Battery, Training R

We're not customers anymore, we're users: a 4-year timeline of Apple flagship smartwatch

You keep saying the original Apple Watch “should” inherit features that the hardware was not designed for. But the features introduced with AW2 (like sleep apnea detection) are dependent on the processing power & architecture of the S9 chip’s neural engine. Yes, AWU2 has mostly the same sensors, but

What kind of technology and apps do you carry?

Why are you bringing the iPad Mini in your daypack? Are you planning on actively editing photos/videos while you walk? I love my Apple Watch Ultra 2. I used it on my last two Caminos to track my daily stages and since I have the cellular version, it acts as a backup if something ever happens to my p

I’m planning to switch from Apple Watch to Garmin, i feel Garmin give accurate workout data as compared to Apple. I also feel the heart rate function is not accurate on Apple Watch while I run

I don't know how it is with the latest Garmin models, but my Fenix 7 X Pro provides the same data as the AWU2. I tested this at the beginning by doing various workouts with both watches in sync. The AWU reacted faster to heart rate fluctuations than the Garmin, which is better for interval training.

Thought you guys might appreciate this

Apple Watch SE 1, then 2, then Ultra 2 was my “OG” dumb phone after I stopped using my flip phone. It had everything I needed, music, calling, texting, etc. but the problem was eventually it became stressful that you HAD to have it rely on your iPhone at home when its easily capable of being a stand

Same-night comparison: Apple Watch estimated 49 min of deep sleep, EEG estimated 1h 52min

When i track with muse s and AWU2, apple reports a good night but muse reports very little to non deep sleep. ymmv

Garmin vs Apple

I have a Fenix 7 and an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and tried both. I’m an older endurance athlete and am using Bevel with longevity in mind. I have found that the sleep and recovery data in Garmin is pretty inaccurate for me and with longevity and recovery being important I decided to use the Apple Watch.

Tattoo Removal for Apple Watch?

I have 2 full sleeves down to my fingers and have had ZERO issue with the Apple Watch sensors. Current watch is the AWU2. I use my sensors all the time for my heart rate and ecg for medical purposes. I also have a kardia mobile device. They are both the same in accuracy. My watch picks up my PVCs ju

Thinking to switch from Apple Watch Ultra 2 to Fitbit Air

I too am considering the exact same switch as you. Honestly, my motivation is the silent alarm. My AWU2 has been a godsend with a newborn and wife, as I get up for work early. I am wondering how good the alarm is on the band, how reliable it is, and how strong it is. I read about wake bands, but the

OPW4 drop imminent?

Coming from an Apple Watch Ultra 2 (and being a narcoleptic that does sleep scans and checkups every 3 months) it's decent. Not the most precise out there, misses a lot of my many awakenings but as a general sleep tracker - it's nice :)
