My first Apple Watch Ultra failed during its 3rd dive at 30’. My current Ultra 2 completely failed during its 5th dive. Disappointed, but it’s proven the Apple Watch Ultra is extremely unreliable for diving.

My hot take: The Apple Watch Ultra is less durable than the Series watches due to the hard and pronounced edges.

For the same price, it certainly gives you a lot to think about. Fundamentally, both will do the same things as a smart watch tracking fitness and wellness, providing notifications, using Apple Pay, and more, but one will do one thing better than the other.
