I have the same problem. Yes I have a screen protector on my ultra 2 since day 1 but it never did this before the watch os26 came out. It messed up my watch and battery is no longer 3 days and now can barely get 2 days. F N Apple.

Don't buy an apple watch, I have the Ultra 2 and I regret it, the battery is SO BAD. Whatever you get, focus on the battery or you will stop using it. Honestly I think Garmin is the best followed by Huawei.

I ran with AWU2 for about a year before going back to Garmin. I could make the AWU2 work for me and there are a lot of good running apps in the AppStore - WorkOutDoors, Outsiders, Zones, etc. I ultimately went back to Garmin because I greatly prefer buttons to Apple’s touch interface.
