Convince me I don’t need an oura ring
I've no idea what this ring does exactly, but I work in medical care and I was reading telemetric heart monitors when apple watches started giving wearers updates about heart rate data. Anxious patients would call me, their heart rates slightly elevated due to their unwarranted stress, to inform me

My smart watch may have saved my life . . .
I had an Apple Watch that kept saying I was having afib. I’m in my 30s and never had heart issues so I ignored it and ended up having a stroke a week later.

Is the Oura worth it if you have an Apple Watch?
I have both, since I got diagnosed with Sleep apnea, I have used my Apple watch to track my sleep. I got tired of wearing my Apple watch 24x7 and having to remember to charge it in the morning. Now Oura ring tracks my sleep and my Apple watch can sit on the charger overnight.

Masimo wins $634 million verdict against Apple in high-stakes patent fight over Apple Watch
The judgement is one I find quite concerning about patent law. From what I understood im the case was not about the technology that Masimo developed. The case was about whether or not the Apple Watch could be considered a “patient monitor”. A term that Masimo apparently patented. My issue with this

AWU3 vs Garmin Fenix 8 — losing my mind over this GAS spiral 😅
My experience for what it’s worth. I have a lot of apple products and am quite happy in the ecosystem, I have a Fenix 8 and was given a AWU3, I have to admit I wanted to enjoy the AW as I’m a little unhappy with the way garmin treat software releases on “older” watches. However I just can’t get on w

Does Triple Zero accept What3Words?
Hi there, yes we frequently receive Apple Watch (etc) notifications - fun fact, if you are mountain biking having the time of your life you will send dozens of “hard fall “ alerts every time you go over a jump - just ask any comms centre on a weekend with good weather haha

Display-less Apple band
Zero interest. I wear a watch for the time, but also to read texts & emails, check weather, monitor heart rate (I have IST), & other things. If I had to choose a screen-less health device for Apple to make, I’d rather have their version of the Oura ring. I can’t sleep in a watch and a ring would be

I love my ultra but it checks heart rate every other 5 / 10 mins. I have a garmin also and it checks it pretty much every second. Is there a way for apple watch to do that too ?? I’ve checked settings. Cant find anything.
Apple Watch falls back to spot checks at rest to save battery — the 1-second continuous sampling only kicks in during workouts. Garmin does much more consistent sampling all day by default. If you need continuous HR on AW outside workouts, enabling the AFib detection setting forces more frequent rea

Best watch or necklace for fall detection and call loved ones and 911?
I just bought myself an Apple Watch for this reason. It can be difficult to work for some older people with less finger dexterity tho. He might be better off without a bigger dedicated device. Also, be aware you’ll be paying a monthly fee for the service whether it’s a watch or pendant. Even the App

iPhone 17 pro or S25 Ultra
I got a 17 & an s25 ultra after so i switched to the s25 ultra as my main phone. Ive been an iphone user since 2011 & I honestly don’t think I could go back. I still have my 17, but imo in direct comparison the s25 ultra is better. It allows lots of customization, brighter+clearer display, has no gl
