What are my options?
You have like 60ish days after purchase to buy AppleCare. Buy it and then wait a little bit then claim it. It’ll be a lot cheaper than out of pocket! Did this before with an Apple Watch. Never bought Apple care for the watches before and then 3 weeks into having my series 6, a bee flew in my open ca

On being a put-together BWT *personal appearance*
Love this thread! I want to chime in on what has worked well for me as someone who doesn’t partake in some of the traditional feminine methods of maintaining personal appearance. I’m a somewhat masculine-of-center queer woman who doesn’t wear make up or like to do much getting ready in the morning,

Apple deceptively lies about AppleCare+ to scare people into not cancelling
One hidden feature with AppleCare+ is the benefit of free battery replacements (if the capacity is at 80% or below), and greatly reduced cost for screen replacements for broken front or back glass. Those two things alone make it worth it for me. I use AppleCare One, which is three products for a fla

What iPhone feature/functionality do you think more people need to know about or use?
New focus for do not disturb. Set the apps you want to come through and people you will allow to break the do not disturb. Set your backgrounds as well (away from home the iPhone wallpaper is jehuty from Zoe and my watch face is modular ultra. ) set your schedule and have dnd turn on at your address

Weekly Swim Gear Questions (Goggles, swimsuits, techsuits, paddles, headphones etc) November 06, 2025 - Post all your gear questions in this post
That is a bit of a suprise! You might need to contact Apple support because that is a bit unusual. It should be a bit more reliable than that. I did a 6-hour swim on AW Ultra and it only missed one or two lengths if that, and before then I had AW5 and it didn't miss many.

A Warning for those considering black UW3
I think that maybe your answer indicates the issue at hand. I bought my AWU because I was tired of Garmin (for a bunch of reasons). Apple is actively courting those of us who use their ultra watches to do things like ultramarathons (I do). It does a pretty good job of replacing my Garmin, so I am ha

Insurance switched me from the Libre 3+ to the Dexcom G7. It's like coming out of the dark ages.
Thanks for the detailed comparison! The only Dexcom device I’ve seen was one that required a separate reader device, but if this can read directly to iPhone and Apple Watch, I’m sold. Can you walk away from your phone with the Dexcom if you’re still wearing the watch? That was one of my biggest beef

Anyone else’s husband making Christmas SO hard
Same!! I literally asked for a new water bottle because the straw to mine snapped in half after 2 years of use and a new apple watch because i use mine every single day for the past 6 years and that sums it up for me

Weekly Swim Gear Questions (Goggles, swimsuits, techsuits, paddles, headphones etc) April 16, 2026 - Post all your gear questions in this post
If your technique is right, the only mix up in stroke should be free vs fly. If you decelerate suddenly to avoid a collision etc, one lap may be counted as two (or more). If you change your stroke type mid-lap, it is likely to be counted as two laps or more. Similarly, if your stroke is inconsistent

AppleCare+ worth it?
I bought AppleCare+ for my Series 9AW, I’ve let it lapse after 2 years & my battery health is still @ 92%. Unless you’re heavy handed, have a manual labour job or enjoy extreme hobbies/sports you should be fine w/out it or buy it for peace of mind as it’s yr 1st AW. My AW is my 2nd & I have a full f
