Hiking / Technology Advice
AWU will provide you a longer battery life. I hike and I have it, and as a casual hiker I have never run out of battery. AW11 should be enough for you until this hobby gets serious. WorkOutDoors IS THE APP, Alltrails and others sucks for Apple Watch. If you like to plan the hikes, download the GPX f

Bevel and Apple Watch 11 vs other options, please help
Really appreciate this—super helpful perspective. The Apple → Bevel → Apple Health openness vs. Garmin’s closed HRV flow is exactly what I was worried about, and your point about Bevel’s AI summaries/notifications saving you from graph-diving is clutch. Also the Garmin watches are so big, for my sma

Apple Watch or Garmin? My  watches (s5 s6) are too old now I guess, loading the app takes forever, if I were to upgrade which path would you recommend?
I also have Fenix 8 and a AW8, and for training I prefer the Apple Watch because Garmin is to limited. For Weight Lifting I use Hevy, for Running Runna, for Hyrox Roxfit. The Build in Stuff on Garmin come not even close to these apps. And worst off all, that expensive Garmin gets no feature updates

Weekly Buying/trading/selling advice, pre-orders and shipping Megathread
I have an Apple Watch Series 6, and thinking about upgrading to a series 11. I like the few new features it has plus the bigger battery life, but my main thing is comfort, specially while sleeping. Does the Series 11 sensors protrudes from the back as much as Series 6? One of the main things that bo

Does it need to be your only watch?
Wear what you like, you can change watches by the hour if it pleases you. Personally I don't generally wear jewellery (nothing around my neck, on my ears, even my wedding ring stays in it's box) and I would not be wearing a watch, if I didn't value the functionality of a smartwatch. I wear the Apple

Switching from Apple Watch to Garmin — is it really worth it?
I just switched from AW7 to the FR965 a few months ago and I regret it. The garmin interface is pretty bad. It’s hard to find anything, there’s so much data but you can’t pull all of it to favorites, only the stuff they allow you to. The battery, physical buttons are nice and the fact that it’s a ro
