My Mac M1 sucks for Editing
https://t2m.co/SiliconMacBuyersGuide That budget? What I wrote stands (and I wrote the article for this subreddit) “I want the cheapest desktop – but it needs to be functional.” MacMini M4 (not Pro) @ $1,399• M4 Stock 10-Core• 32GB RAM• 1TB SSD• Three Thunderbolt Ports Seriously, don’t buy the botto

My Mac M1 sucks for Editing
Dont get a fucking laptop if you are trying to maximize your budget. Get a Mac M4 Mini and spec it out with 32GB of RAM and the biggest SSD you can afford and go on with your life. The M4 eats up 4k 120FPS h.265 footage like it is nothing

Considerations on buying a mac mini
I'm also an attorney. I got my M4 mini from the Apple Refurbished Store online. It was significantly cheaper, but otherwise indistinguishable from new.https://www.apple.com/shop/refurbished/mac16GB of RAM is plenty for anything that an attorney is going to be doing. Macs are exceptionally good with

What is the best minipc brand now widely loved on the market? (Beelink, AceMagic, Geekom, GMKtec, Minisforum, Aoostar)
Reliable brands are Beelink, Intel/Asus NUC, Apple Mac Mini, GMKtec, Geekom, and to some degree Minisforum. Within the $400 to $600 USD price range, are my recommendations: GMKtec K6 at $490 on Amazon. Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU and Radeon 780M iGPU, 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, 1 TB of SSD storage, and Wi-Fi 6E. Bee

Regretting 256 GB Storage A Year Later
I get down posted when I post that 256 GB is not enough For M4 Mini only you can get OEM SSD. .. For others get USB4 SSD install MacOs and boot from it Warning do not run bootcamp on intel Macs it stuffs up dual boot. Needs USB cabled keyboard for desktops I run dual boot 2013 iMac with OLCP Sequoia

NVME SSD prices
Now I wish I looked for the 2TB SSD on BF to go along with the M4 Mac Mini I picked up. 🤦♂️

Mac Mini - GarageBand Logic Pro
The current M4 Mac Mini base model with 16GB of RAM is just fine for that. I would at least get the 512 GB disk storage. With the 256 GB model you very quickly run out of space. If you need more space consider external thunderbolt drives. Consult the YouTube channels below for more technical details

The Best Mini PCs
Mini PCs are something I’ve really come to appreciate over the past couple of years. I started using one as a secondary machine for my desk, and now I can’t imagine going back to a bulky tower for everyday stuff. They’re small, quiet, and sip power compared to traditional desktops. The crazy thing i

FOMO is real isn't it. This A.I. thing is driving me crazy lol!
I too have a $500 m4 mac mini. The onboard 256gb is an insane constriction. Especially with the strange apfs system files and imessage attachments and shenanigans. Was your storage upgrade easy to do?

Good on ya for getting it configured. i had been too preoccupied with my fiddling with my 5090 SFF desktop and rejiggering my 3090s into a dedicated GPU server to be able to make a dedicated NAS system... I couldn't get around to the project of giving my M4 Mac Mini a sane SSD upgrade and now chip-p
