How long do you keep an iPad?
5 Years MINIMUM! And with the M chip you can stretch this easily if you can carry on confidently without security updates. They don't get the physical abuse that a smartphone goes through (less falls on hard floors, and extreme heat exposure) mostly used indoors and they have less operating hours th

is buying an ipad just for procreate is worth it?
I've tried it all and an iPad Pro, an Apple pencil (not the USB-CC version), a paper feel screen protector and Procreate is the best digital drawing experience I've found. Hands down. That being said, save some money and get a good used iPad Pro from eBay. You didn't need the newest M4 processor. Si

Best MacBook Pro M5 + iPhone color matching workflow? (Premiere / DaVinci / ASUS PA32UCDM)
By default, the iPhone and most iPads are continuously modifying the display based on ambient light and time of day. They cannot be calibrated. If it's an M4 iPad Pro, it has reference mode which will turn off ambient sensing, which might help some. If you have an M4 iPad Pro, put it in reference mo

I hate to make the decision between 11 and 13 inch
Apologies up front for the length of this reply, but as you’ve no doubt realised, it’s a common query and like most iPad Pro users, I’ve considered both options in the past. I’ve had iPads since the very first one, and moved to Pros when they were released. But I’ve always used the smaller model. Th

Picking up a Pro. Couple of questions
OK, could easily write a reply as long as your post (which was a great length, good detail, thanks, but my long replies? Not so much…) but instead, quick answers: (1) I’ve always had the smaller iPads, currently on an M4 Pro 11”. Never feel like I miss out on screen real estate, but on rare occasion

What is the point of getting an iPad Pro or any other model instead of a base iPad A16?
We all have different needs. Sure the iPad A16 is a great device for the price but compare the screen with the iPad Pro and that alone will tell you why people like the iPad Pro. Each to their own.

What is the point of getting an iPad Pro or any other model instead of a base iPad A16?
Oddly enough that’s my same justification for my iPad Pro. We don’t have a tv so it’s what I watch all content on. I figured I’d go for the prettiest screen.

I only removed my screen protector for about half an hour, and this already happened.
I’m using iPads with Apple Pencils since the 2nd generation of iPad Pro. Never used a screen protector (only folio cases) and never ever had any scratches.

First drawing tablet ever!
Can I give you a slightly different piece of advice, as someone that does art for a living? If you are just learning how to draw, don't get a digital tablet to start. Instead of spending the $1-2k on the tablet and still needing to learn, invest in a good classical drawing class like this one from S

13” vs 11” iPad Pro M5
I just picked up the 11 inch and I gotta say I feel very happy with this decision. I was fully contemplating the 13 inch - in fact, the 13 inch is the reason I wanted the iPad Pro anyway but then I realized if you’ve got a MacBook, it’s just gonna be way too heavy and logistically not as portable as
