will M4 be enough for the upcoming years (beyond 2030)
Not long-term — RAM matters more than the processor, and the base M5 jumping from 8GB to 12GB says enough. Do what I do: spread the cost of 1 iPad over ~7 years, but get new every 2: Buy new, ~40–50% off, 1-year-old, higher-end 16 GB model OR similar priced Apple Refurbished or open box iPad (usuall

How long do you keep an iPad?
5 Years MINIMUM! And with the M chip you can stretch this easily if you can carry on confidently without security updates. They don't get the physical abuse that a smartphone goes through (less falls on hard floors, and extreme heat exposure) mostly used indoors and they have less operating hours th

Apple Watch in significant global decline for two years now; new features needed
It’s a win for consumers but not necessarily for Apple’s bottom line. But yeah their stuff is lasting a lot longer these days. My M1 iPad Pro from 2021 is still crushing it and I think my M4 Mac Mini will last 5+ years easily.

Do I really need an Ipad Pro While Having Macbook Air M4?
If you want an iPad Pro buy one. But don't do it on the premise of "saving" your Air. I tried having both an M4 iPad Pro and a 16" MacBook Pro. It didn't work for me having two devices. I ended up selling both and buying a 15" M4 air. Apple batteries will generally last many years with high battery

do you feel like your iPad usage comes in phases?
Same here, but on a long time scale it’s amazing how integral of a role it plays. Before my current M4, my old iPad Pro 9.7 lasted me for 8 years and saw so many phases of my life. There were periods of barely any use, but through going back to school, running a small business, a work tablet, video

I only removed my screen protector for about half an hour, and this already happened.
I’m using iPads with Apple Pencils since the 2nd generation of iPad Pro. Never used a screen protector (only folio cases) and never ever had any scratches.

iPad Pro cover
I have the Logitech combo touch for my 13” M5 iPad Pro and I think it’s great. Seems durable. Has an Apple pen cutout. Keyboard detaches while the iPad itself still has a back cover with a kick stand. Feels nice. Keys feel good and trackpad actually is usable. I honestly like it better than the Appl

i want to buy a tablet
You're really into that iPad, but it has the A16 chip, so it won't ever get Apple Intelligence (so don't buy). You could wait for the next iPad 12 or whatever they release this year, or go for an iPad Air, but that's not cheap, though it can do a lot and is more reliable than any other tablet in tha

Just bought a 'Used- Acceptable ' iPad Pro 13" M5 from Amazon Warehouse
I just bought a silver 13” m5 IPad Pro, Magic Keyboard, and Apple Pencil Pro in ‘open-box excellent condition’ from Best Buy a week ago. Paid $1400 after taxes for all three together and there was the tinniest little scratch on the iPad screen that I can barely see with a zagg screen protector on it
