Honestly you might benefit more from a 12.9-inch M1 or M2 iPad Pro. You get a (still) stunning miniLED display, 120Hz, Face ID, and more performance than your use case would ever call for, all for around the same price as the new iPad Air.

I disagree - iPad is a unique form factor, and I understand if it doesn’t work for everyone. The Apple Pencil usb c is never a good deal , you will hate yourself whenever it comes to charging it . Very counter intuitive and you ll have to worry about charging it everytime… You could grab an air5 with an Apple Pencil second gen for the same price!
