I have the same problem with my M1 iPad Air 64gb and that’s not a cheap or old device. Needed to delete almost everything just to install ios26 because it needs space for the old and the new OS at the same time (18+24gb =42 GB out of the 55 usable on the iPad)

I have a iPad air 5 with the M1 , 64 GB , it doesn’t have enough storage to run Apple Intelligence, any update you need to delete some apps to be able to download it , if you are not planning to use ICloud Photos forget a 64 GB . Does minor task but it is starting to show it is old, Procreate runs b

The iPad still cannot be used as a productivity device for me personally. Very limited Office package, as in no full Word, Excel, PowerPoint,… And for video editing, I have a powerful computer at home, which is definitely faster and easier to use. My iPad Air M1 was mostly for media consumption, gam

my dude I’m totally aware, this is iPad. I’m playing the wild rift with wife and kid on iPad. and sorry that my daughter just has 64gb of storage on her iPad Air M1. The OS itself takes 20GB of storage (which is bs as well) and with wild rift at 25 the iPad is basically cooked. No worries I am aware

Yeah it’s an iPad Air M1 and I bought the 64GB model knowing it wouldn’t be much but I didn’t expect 75% to be system files (cache and crap) plus software. Had to buy an iPad for school as they didn’t allow android and now I’m stuck with it because I don’t want to buy a new one with this working per

I’m on an iPad Air M1 and I got the base with 64 GB. It’s definitely not enough, get 128 GB or more. I’ll need to upgrade soon and I’m even thinking about256 GB to make sure storage doesn’t force me into another upgrade for a while.

It honestly depends on your use case. I regretted my base storage iPad Air because I do art and graphic design and some gaming. I have an M1 iPad Pro now, 512GB. If not for the art and design, the base model would’ve been fine for me. I’ve never gotten more than the base model for storage for my iPh

Some more context on the laptop situation: I currently have a MBA 15 inch with the iPad Air 11 inch serving as my smaller device, so pretty much a budget version of your setup. I’m fortunately in the position to buy my configuration of choice for all discussed devices directly from Apple, I’d just r

I don't use much space but I had to retire/trade in the 64mb M1 iPad Air. I got the M4 iPad Air with just 128gb which I know will be zapped in 2-3 years but I think I will upgrade to OLED iPad by then.
