IKEA Matter Devices - Sensitive to thread network topology changes?

This feels counterintuitive. The new IKEA bulbs, for example, are thread routers. So if I’ve got a lamp with two bulbs in it, I’m toast because they’re clustered? And if I have a HomePod mini in every room for whole home music, I’m also toast? There’s got to be something else going on.
