AirPods Max

XM6 really does work better for multiple devices but only 2, which is annoying if you’re a regular Apple TV user. I have it paired to my iPhone and iPad, and the switching is instant, even more reliable than my old AirPods Max were.

Which shows how much more durable they are than the APM. I really want to like the APM but in over 2 decades of owning Apple products I’ve never had anything with as many issues as the APM.

I absolutely cannot believe that they didn't fix the headband ("canopy"). The way it gets so saggy, useless and uncomfortable after ~a year of use must be one of the biggest unaddressed Apple hardware design failures in modern history, and is the reason why I can't use my AirPods Max despite liking

I bought some Open Box AirPods Max from Best Buy and had to return them because I got this message upon pairing them. I wouldn't rule BB refurbished out, but I'd require a larger discount to consider it because of the possible inconvenience of having to return it.

This is, of course, "your mileage may vary" territory, but I had the opposite experience with Airpod quality. I had the first generation Airpod Pros and three months outside of warranty they developed a crackle in each bud. Took it to the Apple Store and it was a known issue with an extended warrant

Just as Apple added AssistiveTouch on Apple Watch (pinch, fist clench)[1], ear movement scrolling could be perfect for users like me who wiggle ears reliably. Tried on AirPods Max Gen1—unreliable: scrolls sometimes, ignores others, or won't stop. Happy to share traces/logs if useful for debugging. G

Marshall Major IV or V. Don’t go anywhere near the Apple AirPods Max. The Marshalls I’ve got are 4 years old. The AirPods Max didn’t make it a year. Over the ear is overrated.
