Asrock DeskMeet as a Steam Machine Replica

The Asrock DeskMeet is the lowest hanging fruit for a DIY Steam Machine. Obviously way bigger, but the X600 model (X300 shown here) makes it a near equivalent to the original when paired with the AMD Ryzen R5 7600; when paired with the AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB (200mm version) it so darn close! A 200mm

Mini PC vs. Custom Micro ATX Build: Why is the Mini PC so much cheaper?

Let's try to get as close to "Apples-to-Apples" as possible, using a 1-year warranty, dependably sourced Beelink SER8 8845HS as the example. Has anyone used a Ryzen 780M mini PC as an offline AI and preparedness knowledge server?

Actually your right for your 8845hs it uses 780m. Strix point, i might now get another hx 370 /hx 365 box Ask grok the question: Radeon 780m/880m/890m processors . which processors can I allocate half of 96gb, 48 gb it came back with: iGPU Architecture / Typical CPUs Max practical dedicated/VGM allo

Thinking about new hardware for an updated HTPC...

So I don’t know about the ram requirements for all of those combined, but if you can get away with 24GB the Aoostar Maco on Amazon for around $330-$350 with an AMD 6850h is a pretty good deal. 680m iGPU. Doesn’t have AV1 encode/decode support though, but for that price point trade offs are expected.

Looking to build my first PC with around 1000$ budget

This build is according to most of your wishes. The CPU is much less important than the GPU, and in any case this one has twice the cache of the 8700G/F. CPU cooler and RAM with RGB happen to be among the cheapest choices; front fans without RGB would be cheaper by $6. An RX 9060 XT GPU would have a

Building a work PC

I would suggest a 9000 series CPU instead - you don't need an APU like the 8700G just to display spreadsheets and chrome tabs to 4K monitors; the integrated graphics of the 9000 series can handle that as well. Suggestions to upgrade the CPU to a better performing 9700X, along with pretty much every

Where do GPU tiers sit? (Answering the WAN Show dilema)

I hope we can get some actually good iGPU APUs with Zen 6 desktop. AMD has been making very good integrated graphics on mobile and integrated desktop but actual desktop APUs have been much worse. 8700G with 8 CUs is still the fastest APU you can buy yourself. Meanwhile the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 has 40 C

AMD or Intel for brand new build?

That’s what I’m thinking to go lower too, no X3D just standard X with B850/B650 and it’ll probably be enough But in that case the 4070 Ti Super will be bottlenecked when paired with those. If I’m gonna be building a new PC might as well get a more decent CPU and mobo instead of going half way since
