Apple Kindersicherung umgangen?
Ganz ehrlich?

Ironic that Gypsy is not wanting to give her a iPad till 16 because she claimed her mom was over protective and sheltering and she’s doing the same thing to her daughter.
Bsffr, that baby is already plopped in front of the TV watching Frozen & Pocahontas. Whoever will mind after Arugula while Guppy is trying to mooch free food at Bennan's during Kyen's shift?!? That's right, a tablet will. Girlypop can't even do her night-time routine, soothe her colicky baby, or rem

Are there parents who actually advocate for their kids to be on iPads???
I think personality and age come into play here, as well. I was not restricting screen time with my STB 5 yo and 2.5 yo after they got an Amazon Fire Kids tablet when my oldest turned 4, but I noticed that my 4 yo especially was spending more and more time on her tablet and losing interest in everyt

Advice on a device for kids that has Libby and nothing else
My kids had Kindle Fire Kids tablets. I was able to control what they had access to pretty effectively, but most apps that were not already part of the Kindle Fire ecosystem are completely out of the question (unless you go the route of sideloading apps). You cannot have true kindle access on the ap

Amazon Fire Kids tablet vs regular for 5 y.o.?
The fire kids tablet is terrible, unintuitive, under-powered, and controls and interface are a joke. Ignoring the whole conversation around whether a 5 year old should even have their own tablet, don't get this one.

PBS Kids App on Fire 7 kids tablet
My daughter's favorite thing on her school-issued iPad is watching Sesame Street on the PBS Kids app, so I bought her a Fire 7 Kids for the main purpose of doing that while giving her the option to access other apps. My issue now is, Sesame Street is not even showing on the PBS Kids app on her Fire

Fire 7 Kids tablet - subscription needed? Remove apps?
My inlaws gifted my toddler a Fire 7 Kids tablet over a year ago and it's been sitting in the box unused in my basement since (don't buy someone else's toddler a tablet without parents permission...anyway). We have a very long car trip coming up so, I figured I would finally pull it out. I was hopin

[Fire 7 Kids Edition] My kids have found an interesting way around the "Browser Disabled" option...
I love my children, but they're too smart for their own good.
Under each of their child profiles, I have Web Settings -> Enable Web Browser disabled.
I also have Child Settings -> Daily Goals & Time Limits, set up so that they should only have 1 hour of screen time per day.
I caught my oldest

My Fire 7 Kids Tablets are constantly running out of storage
16 gb sounds like a decent amount. Except it's really far less. After system files and pre-installed software that I can't remove, it's like 6 GB. Okay, I buy a 128 gb mini SD card. Except, none of the kids apps will install to it.
So I am constantly having to remove games so my kids can play somet
