Into the Pro 3 boat now :D

This thing is amazing. The micro switches, charging dock, wake to shake function (working on sw2!). The only thing I am not used to, but I think will get better with time, is the back pedals, I accidentally press them.

Steam Controller: The Ars Technica review | Valve’s new hardware is solid but might not justify its $99 price.

Comparing it with the 8bitdo Pro 3, the Steam Controller does not sound like a good value. The 8bitdo Pro 3 is like $58 all the time on Amazon but $50 or less with discounts on AliExpress. Things it has over the Steam Controller: Easily swappable buttons A little lever that turns the analog triggers

Why Steam Controller (2026) has no competition at $99 and what big reviewers simply don't get

8bitdo Pro 3 and Ultimate 2 satisfy all those requirements for less than that price. (Well, two of the macro buttons are on the shoulder and 2 are on the back, but I'm not sure how much we're splitting hairs here.)

Help with choosing a controller similarly shaped to a PS4 controller

I collect controllers for fun and for a ps4 shape and paddles I really like the gamesir tarantula pro and 8bitdo pro 2 (havent picked up the pro3). Id avoid scuf products because they are overpriced for what you get and reportedly break quickly. Another person mentioned the tt max. I just got it the

Pro 3 full button replacement

Yes, I've done exactly this. I swapped my Pro 3 to original SNES buttons from an OEM controller. And, in the process, I also put in a spare Pro 2 membrane purchased from 8BitDo. Overall, I'm quite happy with the result: I prefer unlabeled buttons for controllers I use on a variety of platforms. I pr

Controller Recommendations for RP5

I’ve just got the 8bitdo pro 3 and it’s great, the buttons are magnetic and interchangeable so you can change ABXY configurations depending on what you’re playing/ emulating, and you can change the left and right triggers to buttons too. Feels great and sort of like a hybrid PlayStation/ NES style

Here's hoping for a Pro 3 3-mode for XBOX

But isn't the Pro 3 already 3-mode? It has 2.4ghz wifi, bluetooth, and is also capable wired. You can swap the buttons as well for Xbox layout or Switch layout. It has D-input, X-input, and S-input. IMO it's more Ultimate than the actual Ultimate line.

People don't know what the Steam Controller is

Main draw for me is not needing my mouse when using the PC on my TV, and not needing to make new controller bindings when I dock my Steam deck. I got an 8bitDo Pro 3 recently and love it, but I find that I still often need a mouse cursor at times to get around menus, but mainly there’s no way to tra

Which Controller Are You Using?

8BitDo Pro 3. Fantastic controller, but the face buttons are very clacky and loud which took a bit of getting used to.
