My gf's rabbit ate my headphone cable

Are those Meze 99 Classics? I have the 99 Neo (same design with black plastic earcups) and they're nice headphones. A bit bassy but super fun. That damage is a bummer, though on the bright side, the cable is replaceable (mine wore out and needed replacement after about three years of heavy use).

Do streaming services like Spotify/Apple music sound better on a DAP?

It only does for me because I listen to them with different headphones. On my phone, I have Denon PerlPros, but with my DAP I have Meze 99 Classics and Ziigaat Duocincos. Both of the wired are better than the wireless. So it’s not really a true comparison.

DAP paired with over the ear (OTE?)

I use a HiBy R4 with my Meze 99 Classics and couldn’t be happier. I’m also not a fan of IEMs.

Heavy headphones.

Think you're just better off with the Meze 99 Classics. Not only that, I don't hear anything good about their support nor QC

Gunnr Recs?

Meze 99 Classics around $300. Obviously a fair bit of subjectivity here, but they're the best $300 closed back headphones I've ever used (as long as you're not looking for an extremely neutral, monitoring headphone).

Budget Can Roundup - Impressions from HeadphoneZone Connect

Cool to hear you also found that. I had the meze 99 classics og but sold them because it felt too warm and veiled. Also the bass quantity didn't bother me, it was more the quality. A little too soft and rounded in the mid bass and not enough sub bass rumble and extension. Ill look into the Strada. I

Small Stack for work Headphones

I like the Meze 99 Classics v2 for closed backs. If you want to spend even more, there’s also the Audeze LCD-XC if you want to go the Planar route.

Arya stealth vs Ananda stealth

I've been using Arya Stealth (v3) with K7 for more than 2 years. However, I upgraded from Meze 99 Classics, though I still sometimes use them for the sound isolation. I cannot tell the difference between Ananda Stealth and Arya Stealth in detail; I simply do not remember. I tested it in 2024 before
