Kobo or Boox: Which did you choose? FAQ feedback appreciated.

If you want to run any app what is out there, get an Android e-reader. Makes it can be a Kindle, Pocketbook, Kobo, Libby (using all accounts), it can be whatever you want including Koreader + no need to make file conversions. And it handles PDF files like a dream. Also comics and manga will be way s

Any color e-readers with micro SD support?

Bigme B6 Color is one of them, and that's a lot cheaper plus running Android 14 (if you prefer Android at least)

Best budget (least expensive) color E-reader that uses an E-ink display?

I bought a Bigme B6 Color and paid $ 160.00 No clue if there are cheaper, but I wanted a 6" and Android But if you are broke install the reader apps on your cellphone and use Eye Comfort and Extreme Dim + dark mode. I still use that today

Honestly, you just think you want to read comics on e-ink. Realistically, it's not really there yet. and a 6" or 7" reader is just too small, you would want an 8' color tablet at a minimum, in my opinion. Some will say a 7" reader is good enough, but it seems tiny to me. A tablet is still the best f

Boox or Kobo?

I own a Bigme B6 Color because I like to take it anywhere and 6" works for me, I also own a white Xteink X4 and a Kindle Paperwhite SE. With Wifi and BT off, I get up to 10 days, the non Android will go 3 weeks or more But it charges pretty fast, and it's a fast e-reader itself.

Thoughts about Bigme B6

I was checking: Bigme B6 Color Kobo Clara Colour Pocketbook Verse Pro Color Boox Go 7 Gen II (too expensive for me here at $ 375.00) I went for the black B6 Color because it can run any app out there for an e-reader, has Google Play store, it is fast and has a MicroSD slot up to 1TB. And ... it read

Lifespan of an Android e-reader running Android 11-14?

Not OP, but after OP asked, I began to worry, but indeed, as long as the apps runs, and the device doesn't become sluggish, you are good to go (had a 6 years tablet without update that ran like a charm, until it met the floor on a 2 meter fall, corner down). I am eager to get a Bigme B6 color.

Boox Go 6 Gen II or try again?

Boox doesn't have a dark mode built into the system - the only E Ink Android devices I know of that have that feature are from Bigme Bigme B6 (color)
