Need help deciding the best choices for me
I wouldn't make 120hz an absolute necessity in this class. Honestly unless gaming it's nice but overrated. Ideally yes go for snapdragon or intel ultra series 2, both are very power efficient. I'm my region there is an Asus metal Zenbook 14 with ultra 5, 16gb, 1tb SSD for $599, just need to find dea

I love Fedora.
Awesome. I switched to Fedora 44 KDE in early May. Other than Brave browser losing sound. It's been very stable on my ASUS Zenbook 14. I was able to fix the sound issue, now everything is right with the world.

macbook m5 vs asus zenbook 14
The MacBook Air's CPU and iGPU performance, battery life, along with overall hardware quality--webcam, mics, speakers, and trackpad (and you should try them out to see for yourself) would be far superior. I like the contrast that OLED allows but have found that a lot of these high-end OLED Windows l

Trying to move away from Apple but keep getting disappointed
The ideapad is on the weaker end, performance wise. You can try something like the Asus zenbook 14 with a core ultra 9 and 32 GB ram, that's more on line with the macbook prices and performance. And it's also slim and light.

What are your laptop recommendations?
You'll probably get a different answer from every person on this, but I would recommend a windows system like Lenovo over apple. If you really want the nice connectivity between devices, then you might be forced to apple at this point. It really comes down to what you want it for. For connectivity f

I’ve officially hit rock bottom: The Windows laptop market is so bad right now I’m actually considering a MacBook. Help.
If you want a touchscreen, Apple currently has no answer. There are rumors one might come late this year or early next year. That said, in the U.S. market there are numerous options when on sale that fulfill your requirements with perhaps the toughest one being a guaranteed 10-12 hours. You have to

Laptop help
So, a lightweight laptop with good battery life and good build quality. Here are a few options I’d look at: MacBook Air 13 or 15: probably the easiest recommendation if you’re happy with macOS. Great battery life, very portable, silent, and ideal for travel/productivity. The 15” is nicer for Sheets,
