Kindle pw 12th is superfast, vs KLC

These are two different displays technologies. Its like comparing tomatoes and apples. Black and white is of course faster then colour. Compare the same kobo with a kindle colorsoft.

Just got my first Kobo - kind of regretting it after years with Kindle

I switched from Kindle Oasis to Kobo Libra Colour and will try to answer some of your questions. You can change the screen zones from the settings, I can't remember what the default was but I have the whole middle part for the menus not just the bottom of the screen, and you can drag from the top to

I love DRM free books for the customization aspect. If a publisher does not make the book the way you’d like, you can fix it with new covers and fonts. I love that.

I can’t edit the post. I bought these in 2012 from Pottermore when they were sold DRM free. They were side loaded (or rather “send to kindle”) on to my colorsoft. I don’t buy books from Amazon, but I do love their devices. I get my books from other vendors and just transfer them to the device. The f

Using one ereader ONLY - Is anyone doing this? How's it going?

Yea those of us with more than one are the weirdos… and I don’t even want more than one I just do for some reason. Chasing the dragon. Basically I want a Kindle Colorsoft that isn’t tied to Amazon, is open source but a simple elegant design, and easily runs some basic other reading capabilities like

Color ereader, yes I know it wont be perfect, I still want to know what the best one is.

I have a Kindle colorsoft, kobo clara color and, a kobo libra color. The kobo libra is my favorite for comics. It has dropbox and Google Drive integration and it supports cbz files natively. That means that I don't have to fool around with trying convert my comics or copy them from my computer if I'

Could Apple's OLED iPad Mini Finally Be a Kindle Killer?

The weird thing is I don't think the Kindle is a loss-leader for Amazon anymore. I really wanted a Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, but $700 is a tough pill to swallow when iPad Air costs far less. But I still can't buy into the iPad as a notebook replacement with the current tactile feel and glossy display

Kindle Paperwhite vs Kobo Libra Colour — which would you keep? 😭

I think only bullet point 2 matters here the most. Don’t let people gaslight you that the Kaleido 3 is an OK screen when it clearly bothers you. It is an amazing screen for those who don’t notice the screendoor effect, but if your eyes are sensitive, it just makes it unusable. I have a Kindle Oasis

torn about the X4 pro

Agree on both points. The allure of the X4 for me was the size and price. Adding a light? Great. Touchscreen and weird charger? Meh. Add that onto a $99 price and you'e literally into Kindle territory. I currently have a most-recent generation Colorsoft, which to be fair is a bit big. At this point

Did anyone buy the new kindle scribe? I’d love to hear thoughts on what you like better on each

I actually did and received mine yesterday, and the Scribe is going back to Amazon today. Background: I owned a RM2 for a few years, fell in love with the device and bought the RMPP on day 1. I've been less enamored with RMPP as there are a lot more little things that annoy me about it, but still us
