I use turtle beach stealth 700 gen3 and I can hear footsteps directionally. They are amazing.

I felt that different EQ for different games worked the best. So I set 3-4 EQ presets (Like BF6, ARC, ARMA) and swiched between them on my mobile app when changing games. Yes, I have stealth 700. But make sure it is gen3. Aslo default EQ is not the best, but use chat got for customising them. Just enter game, platform and headets and enter what you want to achieve.
