Would you prefer a BUDGET 64mm flat burr grinder, or a GOOD 55mm conical burr grinder? [$250]

I prefer a good conical burr grinder, over a budget flat grinder... And to be honest, over a premium flat grinder as well. I had a very nice flat burr grinder and replaced it with a conical Burr grinder last year and I couldn't be more happy with that decision. Yes, many people will call out the ben

Budget Grinder

Hi, when i started out with my espresso journey (using Wacaco Picopresso), I opted for Timemore C3ESP manual coffee grinder with 23.3microns per adjustment. It was a good hand grinder. Grinds very fine and doesn't clog my picopresso. I had this setup for 2.5ish years. I have upgraded to a Bambino Pl

Is there really a difference other than warranty for buying these “name brand” vs Ali Express grinders? [$750]

Between that and the casa? Yes. Between that and the varia vs3? No. The burr style is different. The burrs in that AliExpress grinder is more blendy than the burrs on the casa. If you get the itop version of that grinder, I believe it has different burr options like what's available by varia. Some o

Home espresso machine recommendations [$900]

Soooo many options. I will recommend based on the few I’ve owned. For the price, it’s pretty tough to beat the Gemilai G3006 “Owl” Gemilai G3006 right now. It’s everything the bambino is, but standard e61 grouphead so endless options on portafilters, etc. It also steams VERY well for a thermoblock m

Espresso grinder recommendations [$400 or less]

For what you're wanting and your price range, I'd get something like the Starseeker Edge 63/Edge Plus. They're nice, big conical burr grinders. Ignore the regurgitated comments recommending flat burr grinders like the DF64/54. Of course, some flat burrs can do a good enough job with traditional espr

Best electric multipurpose coffee grinder

I have a Starseeker Edge 48mm and it works very well for both methods, I think it's a great grinder, especially considering the price.

Can I get a decent grinder for under [$50]?

Not sure where you’re based, but the kingrider K6 is under $100 on sale and it was my first espresso grinder. I very much recommend it! I will say, might be worth spending a bit more for electric if you pull more than one shot a day. I just got a starseeker edge for $200 and it’s dollar for dollar t

Best Single-Dose Grinder Sub $500 (New or Used) [$500]

In that price range, I'd get the Shardor commercial grade at $240 (Amazon) for 64mm flat burrs or Starseeker Edge Plus for conical at $400 (AliX). You will have to purchase bellows separately for the Shardor commercial to make it a single doser. The DF64 is also a great option, of course. Starseeker

Hand grinder for espresso? [$150]

I have a K6 - It’s great and I only use it for travel now. Does it have to be a hand grinder? I got a Starseeker Edge for $250 and it chews through everything I put in it with amazing grind size and consistency. I’ve had it for about 9 months now - never going back to hand grinding

Eureka Mignon Retention

Had the Starseeker edge. Great little machine for a conical burr. I kind of love the fact that Eureka has stuck to the old design. If they stand behind it this long I’m all for it. The new grinders with screens end up being outdated in less than 5 years I like the fact they still offer a bare bones
