Need a Sata SSD for PS4?
well, even these slower drives are more than double the price they were a year ago, so don't be picky, and stay away from Samsung, just too expensive. The Silicon Power A55 will be one of the best buys out there for 2tb at $200. Practically no other 2tb models under $200. The TeamGroup Vulcan Z is $

ANKER GAMES MALWARE, I think. Not sure as it could be some other error that I didn’t know existed.
Already tried that, I’m using silicon power (was using). Read only you’re speaking about is the one set by windows software that you can turn on and off. But my disk turned it’s “state read only” which is triggered by the disk itself so when I detail disk I see:State read only: yesRead only: noAppar

Looking to upgrade some of my outdated parts
I think you have several limitations in your build: CPU cooler is not sufficient for cooling an i7 12700KF. I would upgrade to a dual tower air cooler such as the ID-COOLING A620 Pro SE, Thermalright Peerless Assassin, or Phantom Spirit. I would upgrade to 2x16GB 3600CL18 DDR4 RAM. Many games today

Blitz loading issues on PS4 or PS4 Pro? Solved:
I didn’t want to spend a lot of money so I just got a SP (Silicone Power) 1TB SSD 3D NAND A55 SLC Cache Performance Boost SATA III 2.5" 7mm (0.28") Internal Solid State Drive (SP001TBSS3A55S25), which is currently only $45 on Amazon. It has really good reviews and it’s worked flawlessly so far.

Help with new HDD
Ok, I was just wondering because I've been using the SP A55's from Amazon. I've done 3 PS3 slims with them so far and no issues. In your situation I would try another SSD.
