Anything I can change in this build to make it cheaper? (First time building pc)

Samsung 9100 pro is overkill you can get something like a crucial p310 and save some money there. Don’t pay for windows!! Also, you can probably save on the power supply too with a 850w or 1000w 1200w is overkill for this build too. I think you did pretty good though.

External SSD

External with a Gen4 SSD is the golden ticket. Gen5 and you lose the speed gains due to TB5 anyway. Best bet is something like a 980 pro from Samsung and an Acasis TB5 enclosure. You'll maximise the TB5 throughput this way without wasting money on a newer gen5 9100 pro ssd where you wouldn't realise

I'd like to change my FW 13 Pro preorder but I'm batch 2

Editing the SSD option will result in you having to accept current pricing (if you're opting for a Framework-provided drive). Even if you later switch back to your current pre-edit option - You'll get the new pricing. There is a confirmation screen before edits are locked in. Editing SSD should not

Samsung Announces the 9100 PRO Series SSDs, with Breakthrough PCIe® 5.0 Performance

That's still expensive... This WD SN850X is at $580 currently on amazon and is one of the best PCie 4 out there.

Yeah... I'm thankful I bought a Deck before the price hike 💀

I bought a Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB for $163 in October 2025, and it is now $423. The SAMSUNG 990 EVO 2TB I bought in May 2025 for $162 is now $400. Hell the SAMSUNG 870 EVO SATA 500GB 2.5" for $55 in October 2025 is now $288.

Asked a friend to build me a 200k PC for gaming / game recording. Newbie lang po ako sa pag build pero I feel like he gave me overpriced parts. Please help me improve it without losing much value.

You can definitely min-max the build further to get a lower price. Just wait for other redditors to review the build and suggest better value components. My suggestions would be: Processor: Ryzen 7 7800X3D Tray (Instead of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D) GPU: Zotac RTX 5070 Ti Solid OC SFF (Cheaper than the MS

Holy S#1t! Check this out! (Samsung RMA experience)

Well unfortunately I only have Gen 4 NVME(which I'm more than happy with atm) but this drive should give me about the performance of a 990 Pro which I'm good with. My total drive space will now be 8Tb's in SSD drives and 1Tb in WD Black HDD. My main drive is a WD Black SN850X 2Tb, I have the Samsung

Any other ticking bombs I should know about?

Yes, there are some you should know about. Global climate change, insect population collapse, fast fashion causing an increase in child slave labor, mass use of PFAS chemicals... ... oh, with your component selection. Mostly overpaying for a few components. The Asus Strix B850-F won't perform any be
