200 dollars for a stick with with the only defining features being that it is somewhat thin, wireless and ps5 compatible, essentially a middle point beetween a 60 dollar hori mini stick and a full sized stick with the price of the full sized one I don't understand who would want to buy a 200 dollar

There's a good selection for current gen but you gotta remember that retail/officially licensed peripherals are usually one console (and backwards compatible) + PC in terms of compatibility. Because of the growing trend of leverless/all button styled controllers, it's pretty split to even selection

Qanba Drone 2 is the budget PS5 solution new stick. Everything cheaper has downsides. Check out the used market. There's gems to be found. I ended up with a Qanba Obsidian 2 for less than the cost of the Crown lever it came with!

Not at that price point. PS5 compatibility is still not cheap, it'll cost around $50-80 just for adaptors/boards to work on PS5. For $50-60 all-in, you can get a used beat-up PS4 era fightstick and restore it, or bargain down a used Qanba Drone 2.
