first e-reader for anti-amazon Libby reader?

Pocketbook devices have amazing Libby/Overdrive integration. You can even browse and check out books from your device, if you want. I have both the Verse Pro Color (6”) and the Inkpad 4 (7.8”).

Could ereader replace doom scrolling?

For me, this has been the biggest benefit. My Pocketbook verse is small enough to fit in my handbag, and when I'm out and sitting around, or at the gym, I'll pull it out and read a few pages instead of looking at my phone. Even at home, I've replaced many hours of doom scrolling with reading. I used

E-reader recommendations

I just got a Pocketbook Verse Pro! It’s a 6in non android ereader (not sure how big you want your screen to be, but 6in is pretty portable). It’s got buttons along the bottom of the device. It’s also water proof. I will say I’m not a huge fan of the OS, so I installed Koreader on it (basically app f

Verse newbie here - tips welcome!

Welcome to the Pocketbook family! Hope you enjoy your Pocketbook Verse, the Verse line is my favorite size of Pocketbook's current lineup. As I'm sure you've figured out already, there isn't too much you really need to do out of the box other than drag and drop your epubs and start reading. If you'd

is there any other platform that accomplishes what kindle does?

Several of the Pocketbook devices have the Libby app built in, you can browse the library right on the device as well as read what you’ve already checked out. I have both the Verse Pro (6”) and the Inkpad 4 (7.8”), both have this. They also sync sideloaded books beautifully through the free Pocketbo

no libby on pocketbook verse 🤬💸

You can do my old workaround before Pocketbooks had official libby support. I made the built in browser's homepage libbyapp.com/shelf and signed into my account there. So when I checked out books via the libby app on my phone I could add it directly from the browser. I still have it saved as my home

Looking for a digital reader and storefront that isn't tied to an online library. No amazon and no nook

Kobo and Google Play Books both enable you to export the files out of their websites, but you'll need Adobe Digital Editions to "free" the files. There was a site that someone recommended where you can purchase files for multiple books in a bundle but I can't recall the name. As for simple with no s

best budget ereader

Okay so when you post "best budget ereader" a bunch of people are going to show up and recommend the xteink x4 and x3. Nothing against the xteinks but they are tiny, like 4 inch screens, they're designed to fit on the back of a phone. I think they're a great sometimes reader, especially as a phone s

I wish 6 inch ereaders were more popular!

I really love my 6" Pocketbook Verse Pro (running koreader). I have my Calibre library set up with it and accessing all of my books is as simple as connecting it to wifi and hitting 'download.'

Kobo Libra 2 still worth it or go with PocketBook Era Lite?

I have two pocketbook ereaders, on either side of 7”. The 6” Verse Pro Color and the 7.8” Inkpad 4. I love them! I only sideload books, and everything I read syncs beautifully between them. Pocketbook handles more file types than Kobo. So while I don’t have that specific model, I’m very happy with b
