My ThinkPad X9 15 is the best Windows laptop I've ever used. It gets many of the same things right that the MacBook does, with an even better display (OLED). And it has been absolutely flawless - literally not a single problem in my year with it, which I don't think I can say of any other Windows la

All the people constantly crying in the comments on every x9 post is getting annoying now. We get it, no nipple. This is honestly such a brilliant laptop id have to say its in the top 3 currently available, hopefully lenovo will continue to release successors to it and not be swayed by the constant

I haven't canceled my Batch 5 Framework order yet, but I'm still considering other options. The ThinkPad X9 15 Gen 1 with 32 GB of RAM and the X7 358H is a really compelling choice for me. That said, the X1 Carbon is still the one I really want, but the X7 configuration still isn't available in the

Dude, just get a good old T series... The X9 doesn't seem to be targeting the loyal ThinkPad/TrackPoint users like you. From Lenovo's point of view, it's a great business decision to acquire the potential buyers swaying among MacBooks or even Surface Laptop / XPSes. As a former MacBook and XPS user,

I don't see much on the black Friday list... I recommend the Dell Pro 14 Plus or the Dell Pro 16 Plus to all my clients. It has an aluminum chassis. So much less likely to have hinge failure, like all the plastic laptops we see on here day after day. it might be a little out of your price range, but

I feel you, I picked up the 32GB RAM x9 15 for $1.5k ish on sale to replace my t480s. I occasionally notice this series of clicks and creaks when I put my hand on the right wrist rest. After reading this thread, I checked my laptop, and the right side also lifts up from the tabletop!! WTF is this qu

I am the CTO at a medium sized company that has fielded the X1, X13, T14, T14s, T16 and various MacBook pros. I bought some X9-14's and X9-15's and have been using the X9-14 personally the last two months coming from an X1. The form factor is identical to the X1 which I love about it. After getting

Yes, I daily drive NixOS with it. I will make a full Linux report detailing it when I'm more free and I'll try to upstream my patches. It works best on Kernel 7.1+ with up to date packages so NixOS, Arch/Cachy, Fedora (although its installer is out of date with touchpad not working) should all be fi

You said "high-end Windows laptops", now it's just the X9 that has good speakers? Also, the X9 speakers are good... for a Windows laptop. They're still worse than even a MacBook Air, which is much cheaper. A display is definitely important and part of what people buy Yes, it does matter. What I mean
