I just bought this Lenovo. I do some pretty heavy processing and this is going to be more than sufficient. Arrives tomorrow and I'm stoked! On sale for under $2k right now. 14" 2.8K OLED VS 14" 2.8K IPS
For some this is not really a choice, for some OLEDs are just painful to use after a short while: https://old.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/1l80oc0/p16s_gen_3_with_oled_panel_eye_strain_headache/ Lenovo offering mainly 1920x1200 IPS or higher-dpi with flickering OLEDs is a "we don't care" attitude.

Laptop for AutoCAD
Small repair shop here. What I recommend is this one https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadp/lenovo-thinkpad-p16s-gen-3-16-inch-intel-mobile-workstation/21ks001lus I use to work with a company that had a few autocad users for building design and other projects. Gave them a similar

In your opinion, minimum specs?
I had been eyeing a couple things like an HP Omen, but the Black Friday deals passed by and I didn't act fast enough. In the end, I got a certified refurbished Lenovo laptop P16s Gen 3 for $1400. It has all the specs I need like a dedicated GPU, i7 Intel core processor, and 32GB of RAM. Plus a year'

Laptop recommendations for 2025
Specs: RAM: look for 16GB if it takes DIMM memory which can be upgraded, or if your ownership timeline is only a couple of years. If you plan to keep the machine a long time, make sure that IF the memory is soldered, you get 32GB (more than you need now, but likely to be much more important in anoth

is worth buying a laptop with intel Ultra 7-258V?
I would say yes, MacBook is the best atm, BUT only if you don't look at the prices. I have a Lenovo P16s gen 3 for 1300€(MacBook pro starts at 2000€, 16" MacBook even at 2400€). And I love my Lenovo, superb product, nice power and nice battery life(I have the 155h processor and get about 8-10 hours

ATNA60BX02 (3.2K OLED) retrofit to P1 G7?
I didnt see an option for a mini-led screen, it would have to have been 3rd party, and then if it fits, idk. bu yeah 4k 800 nit is the best screen for the P16v Gen 2 Copy and pasta from an old comment, i would have to go back further to find my OLED list but that would include the new gen stuff, HDR

What laptop would you guys recommend for running CAD and 3D software?
In your price range I would check the Lenovo LOQ series, great price great video cards. If you want to get more serious check the ThinkPad P16s Gen 3 ADA series. That some freaking computers.
