My $1000 laptop still doesn't have a full-function USB-C port in 2025. Why are manufacturers still cutting this corner?

€ 850 for Lenovo IdeaPad slim 5 with decent build quality, 2 usb C charging + data ports, 2 USB a ports, recent CPU, 32gb ram and 1tb ssd. Depends on the laptop you buy.

Butuh rekomendasi Ultrabook, tahann lama, enteng 12 jutaan

Gue kebetulan sempat research buat ini. Summary nya, 12jutaan itu SERBA NANGGUNG banget. Mesti pick your posion. Yang murah baterainya kecil banget, tapi RAM nya upgradable. Yang menengah, pilihannya udah beragam, tapi RAM nya gak bisa di ugprade. Yang mahal bisa nyentuh 16-18jt dengan the best batt

Snapdragon X2 Extreme is being bottlenecked by immature drivers and outdated laptop designs

At the same time we need more fanless laptop designs for the X2 Plus and Elite series. My current IdeaPad Slim 5 with X1 Plus has a loud and aggressive fan that should not exist on an ARM machine. PC manufacturers are still reusing old Intel cooling designs instead of building for ARM efficiency. Yo

Anyone else deciding between the Lenovo Slim 7x and the HP Omnibook Ultra??

unfortunately, still the same for the new version with X2 edit: sorry, my bad: I received both the IdeaPad Slim 5x (X1) and the Yoga Slim 7x (X2) at work these days and checked the wrong device: IdeaPad Slim 5x (X1): Vantage does not offer a battery charge limit - boo! Yoga Slim 7x (X2): Vantage doe

Ryzen AI 7 350 vs Intel Core Ultra 255H? (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 vs ASUS Vivobook S14 at ~80k INR)

Go for the vivobook!! The IdeaPad slim 5 is unreliable junk, almost half of the units come from factory with issues and the frame bends easily. (Can confirm personally, I had to return mine 2 times) I switched to the vivobook which is way higher quality.

Ryzen AI 7 350 vs Intel Core Ultra 255H? (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 vs ASUS Vivobook S14 at ~80k INR)

Ryzen 7 AI 350 is super compatible for your needs. about thermals i think vivobook s14 comes with dual fan setup so cooling will be good than single fan idepad Ryzen has better thermals and i watched many benchmarks show R7 reach 50W range during stress so IdeaPad cooling is not bad for single fan I

lenovo or hiked up macbook air

i believe mine was the IdeaPad Slim 5 Light! i prioritised lighter laptops because i didn't want my shoulders to die carrying a laptop + ipad to school. i don't think its the best laptop in terms of competency but tbh in biz its more than enough. you just need to be able to run the microsoft suite,
