How come old devices and products (80s-00s) are so efficient and long lasting unlike products nowadays?

They do less. Let's use klipsch speakers as an example. I have a pair of klipsch kg 5.5 speakers from the 90s. They're amazing speakers. They are also just speakers. Amps, dacs, streamers, wifi, and Bluetooth are all in separate devices. The new Klipsch number series - the fives, the sevens, and the

Best large portable speakers (that sounds like speakers that use an amp)

You won’t find portable speakers that sound as good as speakers that require an amp. That said, there are speakers with amps inside that do sound good, but they’re connected to a second speaker. There are less cables, but each speaker needs to be connected to a power outlet. What is your budget? The

Tokie kaip Klipsch The

Did Home Theater kind of die? Seems like we were the last generation to give an F. Remember surround sound and subwoofers? Does anybody buy them anymore?

In the late 2010s, AV receivers seems to almost triple in price. That didn't help. In our second living room I just replaced a soundbar with Klipsch 'The Nines', almost as good as a full system for the price of an AV receiver, so a good compromise and a better use of space.

Still Young, Should I Wait To Figure Out What I Want When I Have A House?

This comment is spot on. You’re about to be very busy and mobile in the military. When I was in everyone had Walkmen and headphones and it was tapes or CDs. Been a long time now 😃 In my opinion, investing in some nice headphones with a good source that is small and mobile will let you hear great mus

Maybe i spend too much time in this space

Preordered Klipsch Nines II a month ago and patiently waiting. Though my space can’t even compare. Looks and I’m sure sounds great.

Home Office Speaker - Desktop Placement / Nearfield Listening

I guess my concern was longevity of active style speakers (although most of that is poor reviews of built-in amps on Klipsch the Nines). I had kind of thought studio style equipment would be overkill for personal use only and very little "mixing"? I am sure it is just marketing talk, but many of the

Love for the 8 inch woofer

8" has always been the sweet spot for punch. If/when my ls50 wireless crap out I think klipsch the nines will be next.

Please help me finding one speaker for living-room!

Look at a pair of wireless, powered stereo speakers: Kef LSX or LS50, PSB Alpha IQ, Klipsch Sevens/Nines, SVS Prime… your classical music deserves a true stereo image! Save up for a subwoofer too.

DIY VU Meters

What stands are those? I underestimated how big the Klipsch the Nines, I thought my stands for Kef Q150 were going to be fine. Nope, too tall and too small.
