I upgraded to the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D from the Intel Core i9-14900K, and it was the best upgrade I ever made

Here's an article from a verified site that "Distinct-race" trusts and uses daily. I can confirm the author's experience, I also had stuttering, instability, etc., with the 14900K. I returned the CPU and, with an additional payment, got the 9800X3D, which Jensen Huang himself personally uses for his

Ryzen 7 9800X3D vs. Core i9-14900K: Who's Really Faster For Battlefield 6?

AMD's 1% lows are higher than Intel's average FPS, that's insane. Complete domination by AMD in this hit game. If you're interested in a review of that CPU, here's a link to one that even the moderator approved and accepted as reliable:

13/14th gen "Intel baseline" can still degrade CPU, even with new microcode, due to AC LL

You've had to RMA your 13th/14th gen CPU two or three times now? Read on. Most likely due to insane AC load line defaults and/or unleashed CPU and motherboard settings. You've set "Intel Baseline" or any other type of profile, get lower than expected performance but higher than expected temperatures

Mortal Shell II keeps crashing with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION — i9 14900K issue or game?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out whether this is an issue with my system or Mortal Shell II itself. This seems too good to be true for a pre-built. What am I going to have to swap?

With the 270k plus available there should be zero reason to go for a 14900k, using the newegg combo builder, you can currently make this build, https://imgur.com/a/r3JXfZV PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus 3.7 GHz 24-Core Processor $439.99 @ Memory Express CPU C

I set my 14900K power limits to 125 W (PL1 = PL2) following TechPowerUp and Puget Systems articles and wow, it's almost as fast in 99% of scenarios I encounter, it runs cool and my fans are nearly silent with a slight undervolt. This is now my daily driver!

Edit: follow-up post here!

The performance difference in my creative apps I use professionally (Capture One and Photoshop, mostly) is negligible. I also do some occasional gaming at 4K with a 3080 Ti and the performance there is negligible too, especially since my main monitor is 60Hz and I cap it
