Baltoro

Gregory's Baltoro and Denali are some of the best backpacks ever made. However, these packs are deceptively comfortable. Just because you can carry 50-60lbs in a Gregory, it doesn't mean you should.

Much regret was caused by a heavy Eberlestock backpack. I loved the pockets and organization, but it was nearly 10 pounds when empty and it didn't fit me. I sold it at a loss, but enough to buy a Gregory Baltoro that is amazing, never giving it up.

I’m a big fan of Gregory backpacks 🎒 but if you plan on doing a lot of backpacking on the bike I would strongly recommend getting a rack and pannier bag. It will save on back pain and you won’t get so sweaty on your back, way more ideal to carry the weight on the bike versus on your back

I somewhat agree with this, but it's better to have a slightly larger pack than you usually need. Just because you're gear may only be 40L and your pack is 60L doesn't mean you're 'lugging around 20 liters of empty pack', as that extra 20L worth of pack material is probably just a few ounces in weig

From Gregory's own site, they seem to break out as follows: Baltoro = max comfort & performance (also most pockets and attachments), Paragon = lighter weight backpacking, Zulu = Dayhiking centric, so less built for loads

Get an internal frame pack something 50-70L, no more than 70L. Osprey and Gregory are good. You might like something like a Gregory Baltoro 65. Agree with above, go get sized and fitted at REI
